Who say there is no Angel on Earth?

Monday, 22 October 2007

She was the first born of my parents. If it was not for her, I would have a different surname from the one I was born to. A childless Malay couple wanted to adopt me when I was a baby, but she was against it. When I was frightened with the onset of my first menstruation, she was there to teach me about sanitary towels, tampons.

She helped to finance me, diligently sending pocket money monthly when I was a teenager, away from home, studying for a shorthand-typist certificate, so that I have extra to enjoy myself and buy things I like.

She lived 7 hrs flight away but that did't matter. She flew back and provided me the companionship I needed, to spice up the visit of our paternal Uncle from China. Uncle Ni was our first visitor & relative from China, since our parents migrated to Malaysia more than 55 years ago.

She is my sister and she is my angel on earth. Happy Birthday Sis! Thank you for your love, guidance and counsels. You were there when our mother was unable to be there. You are definitely an angel that God had sent to guide and teach me. I will try to not forget all the things you taught me. Love you, Sis. You are the greatest!
